In 2010, Anthony Gonzalez announced his latest album, “Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming”, would be “very, very, very epic.” Well, that seems like an understatement because his album was in fact more epic than “very, very, very epic.” So imagine how mindblowing and crazy it was when they played live in front of a gorgeous, dance-y Norwegian crowd. SUPER DUPER MEGA EPIC.
M83’s live performance at Hovefestivalen is definitely one of the best during the festival. And what made it even better? They played for almost 2 hours! By the time they finished, I was so sweaty and a bit exhausted from all the dancing and jumping.
And who’s that guy in the black and white outfit? His name is Yann Gonzalez and he is EPIC-personified!
Oh, by the way, did you know they’re French? They’re like one of my top French favorites including Phoenix, Justice and Yelle.
