Autumn has arrived in Europe. Well it has been cold the last few weeks in northern Europe but I was eating my way though Spain and spent a surreal time in Italy for two weeks and it still felt like summer down there. Now that I’m back in Germany, I can say with certainty that autumn has indeed arrived.
What I love about autumn is that I don’t have to worry about sweating like a pig and I can start wearing my favorite coats. The last weeks have seen me immersing in the arts and culture as I attended Dusseldorf Festival and Ruhrtrienalle which I enjoyed immensely. Obviously I wouldn’t be caught dead wearing jeans and a T-shirt considering the famed haughtiness of people from Dusseldorf (so says my German friends) and the fact that I have front-row, center seats for the events.
What to do? I dressed to the nines.
I haven’t used my new reversed coat by Maison Martin Margiela from his H&M collaboration last year so I was excited to wear it. Meanwhile, my black suit is custom-made. Most of my suits are custom-made because fit is EVERYTHING. I have never really found any brand that fits me perfectly so I design my own suits and have them tailored.
